Winter freeze/ I sign divorce papers.
When she leaves you/ to appear everywhere your mind takes you.
The rough trade/ telling fortunes at truck stops in off peak hours.
Opposite mine/ the side she chooses
Reconnecting/ in a bar where our bodies touch by accident.

Bio:

Rp Verlaine is a poet currently living in New York City.
He has a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from the City College.
He is a former teacher who taught in New York Public schools for many years.
Although he stopped teaching, he continues to write and do photography
in New York. He had a volume of poetry-
Damaged by Dames
& Drinking
published in 2017 and another – Femme Fatales
Movie Starlets & Rockers
published in 2018. A series of ebooks
titled Lies From The Autobiography vol 1-3 were published in 2018 & 2019.
